Paeonia Reine Elizabeth
An ancient tree peony thats for sure. The origin of this cultivar is lost in time, but it appears to be derived from an ancient Chinese cultivar crossed with a french tree peony. The flowers are huge, very fully double and have a tendancy to hang slightly rather like Souvenir de Maxime Cornu. The colour however is unique and is a rich salmon pink with a distinct orange hue. There really is no other tree peony like this one. Height and spread after 8 years approx 120cm x 90cm.
Paeonia 'Rinpo'

Paeonia 'Shimane Seidai'

As they age the flowers turn a dusky pink. Forms a neat bushy shrub up to about 100cm in height and spread.
