Paeonia 'Marchioness'

Paeonia 'Marchioness'

(Saunders 1942) This is an F1 lutea hybrid, bred around the same time as the wonderful ‘High Noon’. Single to semi double flowers of amber tan, blushed with pink and red tones. The base of the petals have dark maroon flares which perfectly compliment the soft colours of the petals. The foliage is finely divided and is beautiful foil to the blooms. Generally, will form a bushy dense shrub up to about 120cm high and 100cm wide. We last offered this marvellous plant over 15 years ago, so this is a very rare opportunity to secure one of these most aristocratic of all plants. Very limited stock. These are 1-3 stem field grown divisions, supplied in October for planting straightaway.
