Abies alba 'Pyramidalis'
A narrow conifer dense, erect branches and short, glossy, dark-green needles. Younger trees form a tight pyramid shape, becoming more narrow and conical as they mature. A ten-year-old tree will reach 3-4 metres in height and 1m in width, growing at around 30cm per year.

This dwarf conifer is a cultivar of the Serbian spruce. It has a spherical growth habit and a blue-green colour that shades to grey in winter. New growth appears spontaneously in spring. Fully hardy. Suitable for rock gardens and tubs and as a specimen plant.
Taxus baccata
An evergreen conifer / tree with leathery, green, needle-like leaves. It can grow to a height of 20m or more but is easily pruned to maintain the height and shape required. It is a superb plant for formal hedging owing to the density of its foliage and its tolerance to pruning. It can also be used for creating topiary.

This hardy, fresh green, slender, conical conifer which turns an attractive brown in winter, is a reasonably quick grower and very tolerant of clipping. Give water and feed only if growing in a pot. Use as a specimen plant, bedding, hedging or containers.
