This majestic tree peony is named quite simply for the huge bright scarlet red flowers that it bears increasingly in profusion. The blooms are semi double and can be 25cm or more in diamter on a mature plant, with golden stamens giving a bright centre to the flowers. Forms a neat bushy shrub up to about 100cm in height and spread.
