Commonly found growing in roadside verges, this plant is particularly beneficial to wildlife. Ideally it is best-suited to open, wild sites rather than as an ornamental garden plant, as it can become rather invasive and once it takes hold can be difficult to remove, though if you have the patience to remove the flower heads before they set seed, you can minimise its spread and keep it a little more in check.
