Paeonia 'Marie Lemoine'

(Calot 1869) A classic nineteenth century peony which is still adored 140 years later. Large globe shaped flowers of soft creamy white. Similar to Duchesse de Nemours, but possibly a little more yellow in the centre of the bloom. The sweetly scented flowers are particularly good for cutting. A later flowering variety which is also shorter growing to 85cm so it rarely needs staking. These are premium grade 3-5 eye field grown plants, of which a high proportion will flower in their first year. Smaller 2-3 eye plants frequently offered elsewhere may sometimes take several years to flower.

"Having ordered and had shipped four tree and five herbaceous peonies to my home in Spain I was delighted to receive them in good time and order. This was prior to Brexit. Unfortunately two made weak grow their first year and failed to appear the second year. I informed Kelways who without hesitation put the two varieties to one side and grew on until I was able to arrange shipping. In my opinion Kelways staff went above and beyond my customer service expectations, my thanks to Sue and Sonya’."

In these instances, there may be a slight delay in sending your order, but we will always endeavour to contact you if we believe there may be a delay in dispatch. Some plants may be ordered in advance of their availability period (i.e. bare root peonies or bulbs). For any product where this applies, you will be shown the month for when these products will be delivered. None of the above affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
