RHS Chelsea Flower Show Update

RHS Chelsea Flower Show Update

Just one light frost so far and plenty of mild sunny weather has kept all of the plants on the nursery growing strongly, even those outside. This is really good news! It means that once the cold weather does finally hit us, the plants are already well rooted, and will grow away strongly after a short pause, once the weather warms up again.

We have a full book of Chelsea Gardens for 2022, and Kelways will be one of the 2 largest plant suppliers to Main Avenue and the entire show. This is certainly going to keep our amazing team busy and on their toes!

We ask each of our Designer Clients to do a short presentation to the team at the start of the project, explaining what the garden is about, their vision, and how the plants that our team will be growing fit within the garden. This helps the team understand how their plants will be used, and therefore how they need to look when shipped to the show. For the designers, we hope they can see just how much commitment and love we put into our plants.

Most of the plants for most of the gardens have now been potted. We do however have a few late starting gardens, but even so, all the plants will be potted by the end of November.

In our next update, we will talk about some of the themes and trends that will be at the 2022 show, and pending RHS announcements we may be able to reveal our clients!
