A Big Thank You plus a New Look Plant Centre
Huge thanks to our loyal customers old and new, who have continued to support us during the last 6 months. We must admit we struggled in March and April when lockdown set in and we found ourselves dealing with unprecedented levels of mail order, 200-300 click and collect and home deliveries every day, most of you were very patient. Thank You! We will continue to offer free local home deliveries as part of our service, particularly compost deliveries.
Matt Mason is the new man in charge. He has been with us for several years already, and his youthful optimism and energy have catapulted his progress to becoming the new man in charge.
He knows that he has lots to learn, but the font of knowledge that is the Kelways team is always close to hand. Matt is ably assisted by Tamsin, Tristan, Dawn & Jess.
Welcome to 'The Hut'
We have largely vacated our old shop at the top of the slope which now stocks bulbs and seeds. We have a new smaller building right at the front of the plant centre that you cannot miss as you walk in through that famous archway. Called ''The Hut'' its now the hub of the plant centre and is a bright new building filled with all the basic sundries and tools that you would need for your garden. You should always see Matt or one of his team milling around with a friendly smile.
''We're selling plants right now, not tinsel and baubles!''
While most garden centres are closing down their plant areas and concentrating on Christmas, we are full of plants, because autumn is a really good time of year to plant! The soil is still warm, and with plenty of rain, plants will establish quickly in preparation for a fabulous show of flowers next year.
AUTUMN CLEARANCE!
For all you bargain hunters we have a treat running throughout October. We have a monster sale of surplus perennials starting this weekend. Nursery fresh, well rooted plants, that are perfect for planting right now, and all at bargain prices.
COMPOST/BARK/MANURE
We have just taken delivery of a large range of composts, bark, and manure! There is a lot of talk in the press about possible shortages next spring, so we encourage you to stock up early and take advantage of our bulk buy prices! Keep your car clean by letting us deliver to you for free within 20 miles of Langport. Compost is also available for click and collect. (Peat free compost will be available from February)
