Containerised plants are recently potted field grown plants. They will not have rooted through the pot yet, so the compost may fall away when you plant them. This is the normal way to treat field grown peonies & roses, and nothing to worry about. Just incorporate the compost into the planting hole, gently firm in, and water well.
Easy to grow...and addictive!...
Perhaps the ultimate peonies, crosses between herbaceous and tree peonies. These extraordinary plants have it all.
Flowers in the most vivid and outrageous colours, bright glossy foliage, strong stems and a long flowering period from late May through June. We have various specimens individually priced, so please get in touch if you have a specific enquiry.
We have both bare root and containerised Intersectional peonies. Bare root plants have a minimum of 3 eyes, are top quality plants and in our experience 50% flower in their first year. Bare root peonies are shipped from October through to the end of February. A smaller selection of containerised plants are available all year round. These are field grown plants that have been gently potted up to continue rooting out. The compost may fall away from the plant when it is taken out of the pot. This is normal and does not damage the plant. We do however advise that plants purchased in bud or flower are not planted until the flowers have faded.
We have a large selection of containerised plants available in our Plant Centre.
