Starlight
(Saunders 1949) A most unusual quadruple hybrid between P.lactiflora, P.macrophylla, P.officinalis and P.mlokosewitschii. Single sulphur yellow flowers with just a hint of pink at the base of the petals. A very early peony often flowering in early May. Quite short growing to around 45cm.
This marevllous hybrid is a worthy...and cheaper alternative to Claire de Lune, and might even be considered if you want the elusive and expensive P.mlokosewitschi.
