Runner Bean Wey

Long, smooth slender pods.

Very tasty variety with exceptionally uniform, long, slender and straight pods.

Has the potential for some self-pollination, helping pods to set, particularly in hot summer weather.

Good source of vitamin C, folate and fibre.

Sow April to July.

Harvest July to October.

Plant 45cm (18in) apart in well-cultivated, fertile soil.

Phaseolus coccineus.

Runner beans require support froom canes or netting to a height of 180cm (6ft).  In hot weather, mist the flowers with tepid water in the evening to help pods form.

Available all year.
