Paeonia 'Rinpo'Paeonia 'Rinpo'
Paeonia 'Rinpo'
Also known as 'Bird of Rinpo'. A most magnificent tree peony of ancient origin. The large semi double blooms open very flat in a most unusual way. The colour is described by the Japanese as Botan purple and the petals have silvery edges. A very late flowering plant. The buds tantalise you for what seems like weeks before they finally fully open. Height and spread after 8 years approx 100cm x 90cm

Paeonia 'Souvenir de Maxime Cornu'
Also known as Kinkaku. Fully double flowers with dusky yellow petals edged with light carmine. The colour intensifies as the blooms mature. The buds are hard and nut like, and almost as you blink explode into these huge orbs of colour. The large heavy flowers naturally hang just like a fuschia. This marvellous tree peony forms a free flowering multi stemmed shrub, which will often still be in flower in early June. Particularly good if grown in a tall pot or on top of a wall where the flowers can be appreciated from below. Height and spread after 8 years approx 120cm x 90cm.
