Paeonia 'Duchess of Kent'
Really large tulip shaped buds open slowly over several days to reveal enormous double flowers of a clear deep rose red. As the blooms mature they start to take on an unusual violet hue which can even shimmer with a hint of blue. This is a vigorous growing plant which flowers freely from a young age. The stems are an attractive red and the red leaf stalks give continued interest when not in flower. Later flowering, so a good one to have to extend the flowering period of a group of tree peonies. Height and spread after 8 years approx 120cm x 90cm.
Paeonia 'High Noon'
This is without a doubt the easiest to grow and most rewarding of all the hybrid tree peonies. Medium sized semi-double yellow flowers with raspberry flares at the base of each petal. The blooms have a strong fragrance which is quite an unusual feature for a tree peony. Forms a vigorous shrub with dissected foliage and can soon attain 1.5m in height in as little as 5 years from planting. An added bonus is that it may often throw up a few extra flowers in the autumn. 100% recommended!
Paeonia 'Mikunino-akebono'
This sensational and truly unique tree peony has pure milky white single flowers borne in abundance. They are deeply fimbriated at the edges, as if they have been cut by a pair of fringing scissors, each flower showing this charactaristic is variable from flower to flower. In the centre of each flower is a deep burgundy red carpel. This is a really special tree peony, one to be treasured and nurtured. Height and spread after 8 years approx 120cm x 90cm.
Paeonia 'Mrs William Kelway'

Height and spread after 8 years approx 120cm x 90cm.
Paeonia Reine Elizabeth
An ancient tree peony thats for sure. The origin of this cultivar is lost in time, but it appears to be derived from an ancient Chinese cultivar crossed with a french tree peony. There really is no other tree peony like this one. Height and spread after 8 years approx 120cm x 90cm.
Paeonia 'Rinpo'

Paeonia 'Shimanishiki'

Paeonia 'Souvenir de Maxime Cornu'
Also known as Kinkaku. Fully double flowers with dusky yellow petals edged with light carmine. The colour intensifies as the blooms mature. The buds are hard and nut like, and almost as you blink explode into these huge orbs of colour. The large heavy flowers naturally hang just like a fuchsia.
