Terms & Conditions PRICING & PAYMENT
The prices shown are valid for all shipping destinations. For retail customers in the European Union, therefore, prices include VAT (sales tax) of 17.5%. For non-EU destinations (including the Channel Islands) where no VAT is applicable, the tax element is applied to the additional costs of plant preparation and inspection.
All prices are in pounds sterling. The store cannot electronically accept orders denominated in any other currency. We will provide a quotation in a currency other than sterling on request.
Orders may be placed using the shopping basket or by fax, telephone, email or mail. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch cards; your card will be debited when the plants are ready for despatch. UK customers may pay by cheque drawn on a UK bank, payable to Kelways Plants Limited. We are unable to accept Eurocheques or sterling personal cheques drawn on a non-UK bank due to the costs of bank processing. Cheques are banked immediately on receipt to prevent loss or damage. Receipt of orders via the webstore will be acknowledged by email to the number you have given.
Orders are processed as received. In the event that available stocks are exhausted, we will normally substitute the nearest variety to the same or greater value. If you do not wish us to substitute, please note this on your order.
SHIPPING
At certain times of the year it is impractical or unwise to ship plants and the available period of shipment is stated in the product listings. Orders received outside of these periods will be satisfied as soon as shipping is feasible and/or plants available. Each plant listing indicates also whether the plant is normally shipped bare root or in a pot.
Orders may be shipped by carrier or by post at our discretion. As carriers notoriously require prompt claim for any damage, please advise us directly of any apparent damage to the plants on receipt.
WARRANTY
Payment for defective and incorrectly supplied plants will be refunded if we are notified of the problem within 3 years of supply. At the customer's discretion, but subject to availability of stock, we will replace the plants free of charge in lieu of refund. We will take no liability for any costs over and above the selling price of the plants and any carriage charged. The period of warranty may be extended in particular circumstances at our discretion. We reserve the right to require the return of plants at our expense when a claim has been received.
